AudioScape and Louder Than Liftoff are proud to announce a collaboration on an expansion module for the Silver Bullet mk2: the LA-76 by AudioScape. AudioScape’s stereo LA-76 is a satisfying fusion of two classic compressors: the LA-4 and the 1176 Rev. F. It features an enhanced LA-4-style optical compressor topology, with updated components and higher slew rates compared to the original. This is coupled with the 1176’s all-discrete, push-pull topology line amp in the output stage–the 1109. This line amp is one of Bill Putnam’s most enduring designs and was utilized both in the 1176 Rev. F and the Cooper Time Cube, as well being available on their own. Everything that was unfavorable in the original LA-4 design is essentially replaced with a more revered classic line amp. This original Mojo Module from Audioscape will bring punch, grit, and character to any track it touches. It's excellent on vocals, bass, guitars, drums, and piano.
It’s a snap adding the LA-76 to any Silver Bullet mk2, simply drop the module into the SB mk2 Expansion Slot, and it’s ready to impart its unique vintage colour.

What does the LA-76 offer? Classic stereo compression with punch, grit and character like no other. It is truly a treat to use this inside the Silver Bullet. We packed this stereo card filled to the brim with all thru hole circuitry, which is a feat in itself. And then, in true AudioScape fashion, went the extra step further of using the correct vintage era resistors and transistors that deliver that classic sound you come to expect from AudioScape. Each unit comes pre calibrated to starting factory specs, but the user can tweak any of the following settings to taste: Ratio (2:1, 4:1, 8:1, 20:1), Threshold and Output Level. There is a jumper pin included for stereo linking as well. Enjoy!
