Magic!
on 2023-10-07
I really don’t know how they do it but it seems to be some sort of wizardry. First the build quality is gorgeous. The sound of the compressor sounds absolutely fantastic. I had a unit which I sold in order to purchase this one. It to was an SSL buss comp. That unit was very good, but believe me when I say it. This one is incredible in comparison and far superior in every way. It truly is something special. The craftsmanship and the sound is simply magic!

Title: 1ST AS PIECE OF GEAR AND DAAAMN!!!
Rating: 5
Description: Not much I can add to the reviews below, so I’ll just offer my experience. Never used an actual 2a, just the UAD versions and a dual channel hardware opto from a reputable manufacturer who also makes a well known vari-mu and mics. I run a modest professional production studio and heard about Audioscape from another producer…did some online research, and all the glowing reviews led me to purchasing this unit. I can say that this thing KILLS both any plugs I’ve used as well as my stereo opto (which is now going up for sale). This unit has a thickness and 3D sound that I’ve never been able to get before while tracking. It’ll now be my primary tracking compressor for vocals, acoustic guitar and bass. So impressed that I ordered a D-Comp as well. Also can’t believe how fast these guys answer e-mails, amazing service! AS, you guys are killing it, don’t ever change! :)
Best Vocal Compressor I've Ever Used
on 2023-09-24
Like everyone, I used plugin versions of LA-2A's for years. I was always impressed by how smooth and musical this style of compression is. I finally decided to try a hardware version, and landed on the Opto after a lot of research. It's been in my vocal chain for several months now and it surpasses the plugins in every way. It adds a thickness and presence to vocals that I absolutely love. Compared to the Opto, the plugins that I used (which were very good) feel a little thin and shallow. I've also found that I can push the hardware further before the compression becomes obvious. I'm a huge fan of AudioScape and have bought several other compressors since getting the Opto. Highly recommend!

As AudioScape grows (thanks to YOU!), we’re taking the opportunity to expand the products we offer. Aside from Sessiondesk and the new acoustic panels from OFFECCT, we're announcing that there will be even more products and exclusive gear drops built by some of our favorite companies.
These companies share AudioScape’s philosophy of building amazing gear in an uncompromising way. Our team personally curates these new products and we believe they go hand-in-hand with the “must have”, hardware we currently offer. We've always wanted AudioScape to be the place where you can find the best gear and buy it directly from us, without the usual dealer markup . We pass those savings on to you and this will continue. Our website is a fun spot to hang and we want to offer you a world of awesome hand built tools to help unleash your creativity.
The AudioScape journey has been a passion for us. It started in a single-car garage and we have grown because of everyone’s support. Along with that growth, we want to stay true to who we are and what we do. You have our back and we've got yours. You don't have to dig too deep to know what we're about.
Exciting times are ahead so STAY TUNED!!

The AudioScape 76D is the best I've heard, hands-down; at least, the best I've heard that doesn't require $5,000 or so to snag up a vintage unit in good working condition.
